started to doodle little 4-frame comics for my own amusement. Shortly thereafter I decided to share them with the world so, using a friend's Corel Draw 6, I transposed my sketches to the digital format and registered my first web domain - funkydoodycool.co.uk.

In 2003, aged 22, I moved
out of my mum's house with a couple of friends. Whilst living in a little 2-bedroom cottage in Watford I came up with the idea of Our House - a comic serial about our fictional adventures living there. It didn't progress too far, thanks to a mixture of skunk and absynthe, and was put on hold until I moved out the following year. At that time I re-imagined Our House as a Big Brother-styled gameshow in which the contestants have to protect themselves against a zombie apocalypse that occurs while they're locked away from the world. Sadly I took my time about it, and Channel 4 came out with Dead Set in 2008, taking the wind out of my sails. I may well start again regardless - after all I had the idea first.

Deathridge came about at around the same time as Our House, whilst I was living with my friends. Originally conceived under the influence of Futurama, it was to be a comedy story about shape-shifting humans/monsters, with each comic an isolated story with a common set of characters. I was lazy as usual, and didn't get past 2 issues, then put it on hold. A few years later I re-imagined it as a more serious, long-running story. And again I did nothing with it. I have some ideas to mess around with now, and will update the comic soon.
